The PT-AA220 is a compact digital amplifier utilising Class-D topology, engineered for integration in small to mid-size AV installations such as meeting rooms, classrooms, lecture halls, and hospitality venues. Its structure incorporates two line-level and one balanced microphone input, supporting flexible source selection and signal mixing. The device’s antistatic, fanless enclosure supports silent operation and long-term stability, while control is accessible via front/top panel, IR, or RS232. The loop output and bridge connection functions enable scalable deployment, supporting both standalone and cascaded amplifier configurations without rack infrastructure.

• Class-D Amplification Modes: The PT-AA220 delivers either 2x 20W stereo output at 4Ω or a bridged 40W mono output at 8Ω, selectable via bridge connection. This dual-mode operation enables installers to match amplifier output precisely to speaker configuration and room requirements in various AV environments.

• Flexible Input Configuration: Two analogue line inputs and a microphone input with 48V phantom power accommodate both balanced and unbalanced sources. The microphone channel includes a mixer function, allowing seamless integration of speech and programme audio with independent control for each input.

• Scalable Loop Output: The line-level loop output enables cascading of multiple amplifiers or integration with additional audio devices. Volume control on the loop output allows precise adjustment when distributing audio across larger or partitioned spaces without signal degradation.

• Automatic Muting and Noise Gate: Integrated auto mute and noise gate functions continuously monitor input activity, muting the output in the absence of signal. This feature minimises background noise and prevents unintended audio transmission in AV installations with intermittent usage.

• Fanless Antistatic Enclosure and Control: The convection-cooled, antistatic case provides silent operation and enhanced protection against electrostatic discharge.
